Product Manager — P2P (APAC)

Payward is the parent company behind Kraken and other products, building modern, globally accessible financial infrastructure. Payward Services provides enterprise infrastructure for trading, payments, custody, compliance and settlement, and the Payments & Blockchain team builds the rails to move money in and out of products.

Responsibilities:

- Set the P2P vision, business objectives and roadmap; prioritize markets, segments and payment methods.
- Develop merchant acquisition, onboarding, incentives and retention strategies to build dependable liquidity and pricing.
- Define marketplace economics, fee structures, incentive programs and commercial targets with finance and commercial partners.
- Lead product development across matching, escrow, order management, payment confirmation, limits, merchant controls and dispute handling.
- Build reusable platform capabilities and integration requirements for multiple Payward products.
- Define buyer/seller/merchant workflows, exception handling and acceptance criteria; use customer research and transaction data to reduce friction.
- Partner with risk, compliance, legal and operations on merchant verification, fraud prevention and dispute resolution; lead launches and monitor operating performance metrics.

Requirements:

- Proven record of launching and scaling a crypto P2P marketplace in APAC, ideally from zero.
- Senior product leadership experience with responsibility for strategy, roadmaps and measurable commercial outcomes.
- Deep understanding of merchant operations, two-sided liquidity, pricing, incentives and P2P economics.
- Practical knowledge of APAC payment methods, local banking and wallet ecosystems.
- Experience building shared platform capabilities used by multiple products or channels.
- Strong judgment on fraud, payment verification, transaction disputes and marketplace operations.
- Technical fluency across APIs, transaction lifecycles, payment integrations and reliable financial systems.

Nice to have:

- Experience expanding P2P across several APAC markets.
- Experience with stablecoins and local fiat on/off-ramps.
- Experience building and leading product teams.
- Fluency in one or more APAC languages.
