Founding Engineer

Friends, I’m looking for a Founding Engineer to join Lumia 🚀 Not just a developer, but someone who can take full ownership of our product engineering and, over time, earn equity in the company and grow into our CTO. Lumia is a U.S.-based AI recruiting startup. We are building a platform that uses AI agents to handle hiring almost end to end: finding candidates, screening and interviewing them, evaluating them, and helping companies make the hire. We already have 11 clients in the U.S., our first investments, and strong market demand. Product development has now become one of the main bottlenecks to our growth, so we are looking for a strong engineer to join the team. What you’ll do: — fully own Lumia’s development and architecture; — personally write and review code; — actively use and manage AI coding agents; — develop and strengthen our existing platform; — ship new features quickly for real customers; — eventually build and lead our engineering team. Who we’re looking for: — a strong backend engineer with solid fundamentals and many years of experience; — someone who has personally launched and maintained production products; — not just a manager, but a hands-on developer; — a modern engineer who actively uses AI but knows how to control the quality of its output; — someone with a startup mindset, high speed, full ownership, and no fear of uncertainty. And let me be honest about how we work: we work in person in Almaty, six days a week, around 10–12 hours a day. We are in true founder mode right now. We are not building a small local business. Our goal is to build a global company worth between $100 million and $billions.
